JAMEY JASTA Debuts HATEBREED's Cover Of METALLICA's 'Escape' On 'Duran Show'
April 5, 2009Jamey Jasta, best known as the lead vocalist of the band's HATEBREED and KINGDOM OF SORROW, checked in with "Duran Show" on KKZQ/The Edge 100.1 FM this past Friday (April 3) to debut HATEBREED's cover of METALLICA's "Escape" and to promote his appearance at the Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards.

"Escape" will be one of four digital singles to be included on "For the Lions", an upcoming covers album set for release on May 5, 2009 through E1 Music (formerly Koch Records). The CD consists of 18 cover songs from bands that had an influence on HATEBREED's music. The first single, a cover of BLACK FLAG's "Thirsty & Miserable", is now available for purchase through iTunes.
HATEBREED will perform at the first annual Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards alongside MEGADETH, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, ALL THAT REMAINS and SUICIDE SILENCE. The awards show will takes place Tuesday, April 7 at Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles and will be broadcast on MTV2 as a one-hour special debuting Saturday, May 2. Jasta will also present the highly anticipated "Monster Energy Riff of the Year" award.
"Duran Show" is hosted by radio personality/comedian Jeff Duran, and is one of the few radio programs on the Southern California airwaves that plays metal during its regular programming. "Duran Show" is heard on weekday afternoons from 2 to 7 p.m. on KKZQ/100.1 FM, a commercial Active Rock station just outside Los Angeles in the Antelope Valley.
